Product Limits Explained

What Counts as a Product?

A "product" in Roastify is:

  • A unique combination of coffee type + packaging design
  • Published and visible in your catalog
  • Available for wholesale ordering or sales channel sync

What Happens at the Limit?

When you reach your product limit:

  1. You'll see a warning banner on the Products page
  2. You won't be able to create new published products
  3. Upgrade to a higher plan to publish more products

  • House Blend Medium Roast
  • Signature Dark Roast
  • Light Roast Blend
  • Decaf Coffee - Decaffeinated options for customers
  • Various single-origin options (rotation)

Pro-Only Coffees

Pro members get access to premium options:

  • Premium Single Origins - Exclusive beans from top-growing regions
  • Coffee Pods - Keurig-compatible single-serve options
  • Instant Coffee - Premium instant coffee products
  • Matcha - Organic, ceremonial grade matcha powder
  • Mushroom Coffee - Functional mushroom coffee

Pro-exclusive coffees are marked with a crown or "Pro Only" badge in the catalog.

When to Upgrade

Signs You Need Pro Plan

  • More Than 50 Products - You have or want more than 50 products
  • Fast Fulfillment - 2-day shipping is important for your business
  • Want Hosted Store - You want your own branded online store
  • Premium Coffees - Access to Pro-exclusive coffee catalog

Upgrading Your Plan

Go to Settings > Plans

Review the plan options

Click Upgrade on your desired plan

Enter payment information if needed

Confirm the upgrade

When you upgrade:

  • You're charged immediately for the prorated difference
  • Your new features are available instantly
  • Your billing date stays the same

Downgrading Your Plan

Before downgrading from Pro to Base:

  • Ensure you have 50 or fewer published products
  • You'll lose access to Pro-exclusive coffees
  • Hosted store becomes unavailable
  • Extra Shopify store connections will be disabled

Go to Settings > Plans

Review downgrade implications

Click Downgrade to Base

Confirm the downgrade

Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

Your products and data are saved for 90 days after cancellation. After that, they may be deleted.
